Ottawa Links

Covering an area of over 4,500 square kilometres, the Ottawa Region is unique in its history, geography and lifestyle. Ottawa offers a wide variety of urban attractions. Many of Canada's best museums and cultural facilities, as well as the Parliament Buildings, other historical structures and major institutions, are located in the Capital region.

As well as the Urban, the Ottawa region lies close to golfing, fishing, hiking, skiing, and many other outdoor adventures and wilderness activities. Three rivers (the Ottawa, Rideau and Gatineau), hundreds of lakes, the Rideau Canal are all great for boating and skating.   Green spaces, and bicycle paths provide excellent recreational spaces also within the Capital region.

There are 12 national museums displaying Canadian art, nature, science and technology, aviation, war civilization and more. Other points of interest are the Royal Canadian Mint, and the Byward Market, which is very active with people visiting the many restaurants, shops and pubs.
